Pearlman TM1

Hi,
I have heard lots of good things about this mic...i live in boston area..where can i get this mic to test or buy? Does guitar center have this kind of stuff?

Call Dave direct. Tell him what you want, he'll build it, you buy it. If you don't like it he'll tune it to your taste/requirements.

Tm1-I love this mic.My other mic i use is a neumann u87 ai!

Anyone use the TM-1 on things other than vox?

Me too. I love them both, but the Pearlman is bigger and smoother than the 87 on vox. EQ is optional a lot of times.

Anyone use the Pearlman on anything other than voice? It does seem (like the u47 was apparently) to capture a lot more room ambience. I tried it on ac gtr and didn't really dig it.

I use it on a lots of things, it's lovely on acoustic instruments of various kind, glockenspiels, harps, cellos, guitars etc...

And don't forget to check the GS classifieds - that's where I got mine, and I've noticed a couple more floating around there recently.

I don't think their appearance in the classifieds doesn't point to anything other than the fact that a healthy number of GS'ers have bought them, and sometimes ya have to "share the love".
