harsh static on inputs 5.6.7.8 of 002 mixer

This happen to anyone? All of the sudden the last 4 ins of the 002 mixer have an awful loud static when I put them in record. I tried unplugging everything thats in those particular in's....still nothing but static???

make sure the switch is set on +4 and not -10.
