Thread Starter | volume control fader without a console? Hi, I'd like to be able to ride a fader before the signal hits the compressor while tracking. is this possible without a console? What i would need would be a single high quality fader that i can place in the signal chain with xlr/trs cables. I've looked around and found nothing yet. Anybody know if this is something on the market? |

| you could do it with a passive attenuator, but it wouldn't be a fader - more a large knob |

| Commonly available passive attenuators include A-Designs ATTY and NHTPro PVC Pro. Knobs only though.

| Lives for gear | Buy a good fader and stick it in a project box. Or by a channel strip from some old console off EBAY for $35.
