Where to move forward as a young amateur producer?

Doubt this will get any replies but i am an 18 yr old aspiring producer from the Gold Coast, Australia and have been producing at a amateur / semi professional level for 2 years nows, and had been recording on Boss 8 track recorders since i was 13. But anyway i have completed about 16 projects (EPs / LPs) in the last 2 years while studying and doing free lance work.

I finish my sound engineering studies end of 2009 and am wondering ... where the hell do i go next? Yes i play in bands and do the rest of it, but producing wise where can i take it to the next step? ... i have always dreamt of moving to the states and working for a studio for a few years before considering starting my own ... but i am also considering continuing my studies maybe at Berklee college of music in boston, or anywhere else (BCM being the one i have most heard about).

If i can please get some good advise, and information from some of the amazing and experienced people on this site. Please give me that moment of your time.

Regards,
Tyse,
Renegade Productions.

my advice would be to keep on doing what you're doing, i'm sure you're building up a good range of skills by the sounds of it

Thing is 18 is very young to let people to give you production gigs...

Maybe track down some local producers who are getting the big jobs and see if you can help out engineering, programming, arranging, that sort of thing

but you might have to wait a little while to get to call the shots yourself. Make a name for yourself where you are now and travel opportunites will come later
