3 microsecond impulse-DSD

I've recently been investigating DSD. Why go on with PCM when, next year, every classical, jazz and world nutter will be asking for DSD recordings (not just the master but start to finish)? I've already been asked!
Right now, Pyramix is the only DAW that does this, hence the title.
I found an image on their site (merging technologies) that showed 5 representations of 3 microsecond impulses recorded in analog (cassette? unspecified) @48, @96, @192 and with DSD (converters unspecified). True or Hype?
The software seems a little square, used for mastering. I'm kind of wishing that protools could record DSD now but by the time they get to it I'll be sippin virgin marys in paradise.
What's the word?
I wonder if something recorded in DSD and then converted to 96 and then mixed in protools and then reconverted to DSD would be a sane workaround without having all those nasty little squigglies added close to my impulses?dfegad
Some pretty reliable sources have sworn that their 20 year old PCM headaches have disappeared. True or Hype?
