TLM 127: Dual or single diaphragm?

I've heard people say the 127 is dual diaphragm, but the Neumann website refers to it simply as "Large diaphragm condenser" whereas they usually say when a mic is dual (like in the case of the M 149). Most websites that sell the mic call it large diaphragm, and then this site http://www.coutant.org/tlm127/index.html calls it both dual and just "large diaphragm" in the same page! So what is the deal here?

Ok thanks, and in the case of non-switchable cardioid condensers, do they still have to have 2? Otherwise wouldn't they be just figure 8?

It's got several patterns (omni, cardioid, etc.), so it must be a dual diaphragm...

Oops, too late...

To answer the second one, there are single-diaphragms in cardioid or hyper. This works with whatever is built around the capsule...

It's dual diaphragm, but it has only 2 switchable patterns on the mic (cardoid and omni) unless you get the additional electronic remote pattern switchbox, which also feeds it phantom power.

Yes - and if you put it in "R" by mistake the polar pattern will depend on the actual phantom voltage received.

If I remember correctly:-
45V = fig-8
46.5V = super-cardioid
48V = cardioid
49.5V = hypo-cardioid (wide cardioid)
51V = omni

I think it's that way round.
