Looking for Studio in tri-state area - reasonably-priced, "new-school"

Wonder why there isn't a studio directory on Gearslutz?

Anyway, I'm a freelance engineer/producer seeking a studio to track a project in the NY/CT/NJ/MA area - basically within driving distance of NYC. I'm originally from that area but am currently living in LA.

I'm seeking a "New School" spot. I'm imagining a mostly in-the-box outfit, with a good mic/ descrete preamp selection, PTHD, a couple ureis/distressors, and a nice live drum room with a couple of isolation areas, good monitoring, etc... With a price in the region of $200 - $400/day. A console/lounge/tape machine/soffit monitors are not required. We are looking for 3-7 days in June.

Please let me know if you have or know of anything that fits this description.

Thank you,

Tim Edgar

I actually thought I had this licked, a member 'services' directory.

I recently gave an add on software for the forum a trial. (I tried it in the Classifieds...) It was supposed to have a 'search by zip code' function.. Which I thought would be great for a studio directory, job ads and of course the classifieds.. But it turned out to be a buggy POS with zero support, abandoned by the designer...

So its 'back to the old drawing board' on that one..

A directory is planned...
