Today's luckiest Gearslut is ME! And I'm back too. Some wacky software glitch decided that I can no longer post as "Wurly" like I used too, so I've come back with my real name. But let's get back to the lucky part....I just got a call from Metro Sound and Lighting in St. Paul that I won the Grand Prize at their annual summer sale. The Grand Prize is a $1,000 JBL shopping spree!!!!!!!!!!! There's nothing like winning a $1,000 prize to put a temporary smile on my face. And I thought it was a shopping spree at MSRP prices, but no, it's at the normal discounted store prices! What a store. My 25 plus years as a customer there just paid me a handsome dividend. |

Yup, a pair of speakers for the kitchen might not be too far off the mark. I figure that I can get a small pair of something or one of something medium sized, but certainly nothing big enough for my live sound system, or good enough for serious monitoring. I suppose I could get one nice stage monitor. BTW, I already have speakers in the kitchen, the laundry room, and the sun porch. I am a Gearslut after all. And no, they didn't give away any shopping sprees for Adams speakers. Darn it all. I'll have to keep using my Westlakes. |
