Question Advice for Newbies plz submit: Studio wiring/Setup/diags, Basic Studio Techniques

Can anyone give studio wiring diagrams for Newbies?

How to use the same compressor/verb unit/eq unit on different tracks and for mix down?

Advice on patching in and patching out?

How the signal chain setup works in layman terms?

What are the Main frequencies for different instruments?: bass, drums, electric guitars vox to make them jump out and sound punchy and alive in the mix?

Any answers to these questions are greatly welcomed as I am a songwriter/musician who wants to set up a studio and I need these questions answering myself as well as many newbies to gear and gear slutz.

where do my wires attach and what is the basic setup and connections I need to use if I buy the following:

Mixer, Computer, AD/DA convertor/audio interface, mic pre's, Mic's, compressor, EQ, effects unit, Monitors etc.

cheers
