Thread Starter | Recording vocals to tape&Logic
Hi Guys, I'm looking for the best way to record a vocal track to my 2 track Otari machine, then transfer it into Logic. The problem being I'm not sure how to deal with the sync problem. One thought would be to use 2 mics simultaneously on the performance, one patched to Logic and the other to tape. Then transfer the tape track into Logic, but from here I'm not sure how to proceed. I understand that there will be drift between the two tracks, but thought perhaps I could cut and paste the taped track to keep it in sync. Am I on the right track or is there another way to achieve this? Any thoughts would be welcomed. Thanks in advance. Cheers. |
