motu 828 mkIII firmware

for the last month i have been upgrading my gear i orderd a 828mkIIIlast week . with the plan to upgrade my converters. to benchmark api, apogee, etc. have not made a choice on those but you know what i mean. so i get the 828mkIII and a new pair of jbl lsr 4328p's. there has been a issue i guess with some of these 828mkIII with very hot output and various drop outs and noise issues at least that what mine did . i tested my gear at -20 db checked the impedance did every thing right double checked before i fired anything up. and it blew one of the jbls off the bat. i am not the only one who has experienced this there has been a few reports of it that i have checked on other forums (ableton community) etc. and the firmware relased on april 10th is supposed to deal with this. but i sent back all of it back to american musical supply. so just a heads up if you have one do the firmware

works solid here with the recent release. I am running leopard, motu mkiii, and apogee rosetta 800. I don't use the motu for conversion.
