What sized cabinet for a THD UniValve for recording at home studio volumes?

I'm pretty sold on getting a THD UniValve, but I was wondering what sized cabinet suits this amplifier best. I'm not keen on the idea of a 4x12 because it's going to be spending most of its time in a 12x14 room in an apartment, so I can't crank it. So, between a 1x12 and 2x12, what sounds best?

Or, could I just hook it up to speakers of my Orange AD30R? I use the Orange for gigs and recording on occasion, and the THD is going to stay in the "studio", and I hear Vintage 30s are a good match for the THD.

Then again, I've read the THD is similar to an Orange AD30, but I've also read that by using a 5751 and 5881 tubes you can get "a hardy blend of Fender clang and Marshall grind, and added twanginess to the rich distortion brew" (Guitar Player Magazine).

The Univalve has the HotPlate thing built in so just choose a cab you like, bring down the volume with the HotPlate atty and rock on.

Try your Orange, why not ?

So, there shouldn't be any problem connecting a head to a combo amplifier's internal speakers as long as the ohms match and sound just as good as say, a 2x12 Orange cabinet? Make sense.
