Calling on all API 2500 users...

How hot does this thing run? does it need a space above & below or, can I run it stuffed in with everything else? -Klauth.

the last studio that i worked at which had one, the studio tech specifically called me and asked me to shut it off at night.. along with everything around it. it was also housed in a neve console that was worth more than any other console i had ever touched.... so i did what i was told.

Mine gets pretty hot....don't have a lot to compare it to but mine's on the bottom of a small rack that sits on my desk, and I leave half a rack space above it and it's fine. I would advise against cramming it in there.

i had mine shut itself off once cuz it was too hot.!!
i give it a space.

but it does get pretty hot.

mine sits in the top space of a rack directly above the masterlink. no problems yet.
