imo the doepfer controllers are fantastic. any of them. the LMK2+ or 4+ or the PK88 (which doesn't have any controllers at all - just keys). packed very nicely into a self contained flight case. they aren't cheap, but they feel great to me. i have had the LMK2+ for two years now and i can't get enough of it. and now the new one has USB in addition to MIDI
