3 foot Db25 to Db25 cable (Quality?/Price?)

I need to get a 3 foot db25 to db25 cable to go from an 8 channel preamp to my RME convertor. Will cable quality matter much if the span is only 3 feet? I got a price from an audio shop that will make me one with Magami cable and Neutrik connectors for $140.

I can also get a cheeper one made by ProCo for only about $77.00. I'm sure that Hosa makes one for even cheeper.

What are your thoughts? Any help would be great.

Try Redco Audio . They'll do a 5' db25 - db25 for under $80 using Mogami cable. I've been very pleased so far with their workmanship, service, and turn-around time. They can also do any amount of custom work.

Hosa is crap.

Thanks Michael, it looks like they can make one with the same materials for about $75.00.

Second the suggestion for using Redco. Good guys, good service and good/great (your preference) cables.
