Cheap rack monut for Great River ME-1NV

Hi everyone,

I need to rack the ME-1NV and Iīve seen the prices of the rack kits sold by Great River and that seems to much for me.

Do you know a cheaper one that can do the job ?

Thanx

Guitar Center sells a cheap 19" rack mount shelf. I have one for my Grace 101. Not a very robust product, but good enough for a permanet install. I think they're around $20.00.

I made a comment a couple of years ago about the cost of the rack kit for the ME1-NV, and Dan Kennedy jumped down my throat about it. "Did I have any idea of the costs involved to make this stuff" etc. Whatever dude! Chill out! I am just a customer offering feedback.

So now I say things like: "That GR NE1-NV mounting kit is a great piece of hardware."

I will say that it works well and is solid as heck. Much better than buying one of those cheap shelfs and using Velcro or small screws.

Yes, but the rack kit he sells for 2 units ( RK-2 ) must be similar to those cheaper ones. Itīs gonna be a permanent instalation so I donīt need anything build as a tank. I prefer something for two units but is gonna be with just one for a while but I plan to buy another GR in some months time.

Do the generic ones fit the holes in the ME-1NV ?

The cheapo in my post comes pre-drilled with a bunch of holes. I'm certain one of the paterns will fit the Great River. It's aluminum so drilling holes isn't hard.

RaXXess UNS1 Rack Shelf from zZounds.com!

I use these for all my 1/2 rack stuff. Chandler PS, roland 1/2 rack synths, AEA TRP, CAE minimixer etc. all reside on these. I use industrial velcro to attach the units. Never had a problem, even in gig racks.
