| Oh now don't say that. (or 'I never tried the for-pay ones' ;) ) Tom Erbe's stuff is terrific- and his Chebyshev is the only other place I know of where you can get an effect like my Pafnuty (even if it's harder to work and not as many harmonics) Soundhack | freeware You should have SoundHack JUST in case you ever need to do really, really good noise reduction. It's tricky to work, but it's possible to get fantastic, professional results by defining noise samples and being gentle with the spectral gating, perhaps in two passes of different types of spectral dynamics. SoundHack in particular is a MUST HAVE. Michael Norris's stuff is all FFT spectral madness- I don't know anywhere else you can do some of this stuff, such as shifting formants by bin instead of by frequency. Quite the emphasis on nonmusical, unrealistic craziness. I was charmed :) Michael Norris: SoundMagic Spectral And of course if you can run them (never made it to Intel) you gotta love the Fish Fillets- digitalfishphones.com - free audio effects plugins
