Who makes a decent U87 generic shockmount?

that doesn't cost an arm or a leg.

I have a generic shockmount for my U87 that needs to be replaced. It's worked great for 5 years and I thought I paid like $30 on ebay but I can't remember exactly who I got it from. Any suggestions?

Thanks

That's the only one I know also, I've seen it at soundpure.com. It's ridiculous that the Neumann shockmounts cost so much. There made of a metal that we've mined from the future and brought back in time to make shockmounts out of you know...time travel is super expensive. You saw Back to the Future right, how much metal do you think we can get in a Delorean.

I've used the Rode shockmount for the old NT2 mic with an U87ai.

I am referring to the older NT2, not the NT2-A that replaced it a few years ago.

It's been a long time, and I believe it was the SM-1 model, but I could be mistaken. If you are interested, an email to Rode or a Rode dealer should clarify exactly which model.

Has anybody ever used one of the Sabra mics with a Heavy tube condensor or something like a U87? I'm sure it's a great product, but those rubber bands would have to be pretty wicked for me to chance it with a vertically placed mic...horizontally I think they would be fine like in all the pictures they have on the website.

I would look in to the Peluso, I have a Peluso shockmount for my 22-251 and it's a great shockmount.
