Thread Starter | What's the point of having...? (ad/da related question)
What's the point of having a Rosetta 800 if you already have a Digi 192 I/O can anyone explain this to me? I guess I just don't understand. Also, is there any purpose to having something like a digi 003 and a rosetta 800 or a universal 2192 deckerluke |

| In my experience, the Apogee Rosetta is MUCH more musical and true to the source, than a 192 Analog. It has a very clear and defined bottom octave, unlike the 192 (to my ears). As well, I always find myself boosting the top end in my mixes when using a 192, as those interfaces are dark and murky up top. (again, to my ears) There is a point to using other, different, better, worse, orange, red, blue, gray, converters with a PTLE system. (my point is they all sound different) I would say one purpose would be monitoring a stereo source from a converter that doesn't lie to your ears. I could go on......but simply, the Digital I/O on these LE boxes lets you maximize channel count and use more than 8 I/O with the System.
