Advice Please - Yamaha O2r Dead...

I have been running 32 digital outs of ProTools into a couple of O2r's.

One of my O2r's won't power up, so I'm guessing the power supply is caput. I can get it fixed, and probably will, but I'm starting to seriously consider getting a new digital console that can control PT, save scene memories, and some built in digital effects would be nice (my O2r's each have 2 TC Unity cards in them, not to mention the 2 built-in SPX-1000's).

I'm just starting to look into something new.

What do you suggest?

Thanks for your help...

The O2r actually can control Pro Tools in a limited way. It does so via CS-10 or MM-1600 emulation, and can handle four banks of eight channels apiece. It can also control transport functions. No plug-in or routing control though, and my guess is that the fader control is probably 14-bit.

The O2r does have a battery, which might be worth checking. Good luck.

Thanks Ben!

My O2r won't power up at all. I thought the battery was just for memory. I'll check it out, thanks.

I'm actually looking around for a new console. I really don't need it to have mic pres, but if it does, that's ok.

Anybody out there liking their DM-4800 or 3200? Should I stick w/ Yamaha and get an O2r96?

Opinions, thoughts?
