Apogee ADC?

Hey guys. I want high quality recordings, and I heard the Apogee Mini-Me is good for that at a cheap price. So do I just record everything into the Mini-Me via the analog ins (everything goes through my Mackie mixer), which is recorded real-time via USB into my Digital Performer DAW? Is this what I'm supposed to use the Mini-Me for?

Please just patch your microphones into the Mini-Me

No really, the Mini-Me has a better analog input stage than your mixer,
If you are recording only on or two mics, patch directly into the Mini-Me Mic inputs. If not, and you are forced to submix, then switch it to line inputs, and use the mixer stereo outputs.

The Mini Me will be the ADC converter so you can record digital signal into the DP, but you would need a DAC for monitoring the DAW, no?

Check out the Apogee Duet, it handles everything for you, without any need to purchase another DAC for monitoring. If you need multi-channel (so you can only use the mixer for monitoring);

Check out the Ensemble.

Thanks. Yeah, I was thinking of the Duet for monitoring, or MOTU 828mkII (my MOTU 896's left output died out). And I'm not recoridng with mics, I just have my turntable mixer (I'm a DJ), and synths going into the Mackie mixer, and I plan on feeding the outs of the Mackie to the ins of the Apogee Mini-Me, which would go into the computer to record into DP, and then I would monitor all that using the Apogee Duet or MOTU 828mkII, as I said before.
