Hi fellow mathematicians,

I know how to calculate delays according to BPM i.e 60,000 divided by the tempo.

But my "inverse" maths skills escape me!

How the heck do I calculate the correct Hz per tempo for tremolo or vibrato/chorus?

I.e. for a song that's 120 bpm, how do I get for example a 32nd-note tremolo st utter?

Okay, so you want to go from BPM and some arbitrary fraction of a beat(ie. 8th, 16th, or 32nd notes rather than just quarters) to Hz, is that right?

1. go from beats per minute to whatever unit of duration per minute, to get 8ths you would multiply by 2, to get 16ths you would multiply by 4, to get 32nds you would multiply by 8.

2. convert from units per minute to units per second. take the number from step 1 and divide by 60.

there you go. this will give you Hz(ie cycles/second)
