We shipped the new Purple Audio Pants Preamp
and the new version of the Biz - The Biz Mk.

-----------------------

The Pants uses four op amps, 2 class A KDJ3, 2 class AB KDJ4 op amps.
It is differential ( balanced) throughout. The DI uses a FET input to drive the transformer unlike our Biz that has a transformerless DI, it also adds a DI termination switch 100K or 1M. This will give some instruments a change in tone.

The Pants has the same output transformer as the Biz but uses a different input transformer. The input transformer is a Cinemag Mic Output transformer repackaged for PCB mount. The Pants has a High button that changes the feedback/gain range on the input amplifiers.

The Pants adds a Mic/line switch that flips the windings of the input transformer. This allows it to be used in mixer configuration as a line input or as a Pad for high output mics. 150R:9K6 or 9K6:150R

-------------

The Biz Mk is the same circuit as the original Biz but adds the DI termination switch.
The stock Biz had a 33K ohm load on the DI the Biz Mk switch allows this or 100K.
The Biz Mk also adds the same Mic/Line switch as above. 200R:10K or 10K:200R.

--------------

The mic/line switch main inspiration is to allow the Biz Mks and Pants to be used with line input on our Moiyn 8x2 mixer in our sweet ten rack.

Looks like UPS messed up and 're-scheduled' the Juggernaut for Monday delivery, even though it was guaranteed for today's delivery to James place. Sorry about that James and all who wanted to hear it/see it. We'll still have lots of demos available when it ships at this end of this month. Have fun this weekend.

^^^^^ One hot unit right there.

Thanks James and crew for putting on a wonderful event. I had a great time.

I will withhold all (other, besides about LaChapelle) opinions for the now.

Yup, 583V. I think we were the first to hear it. I'll post mp3's by the end of the week. I loved it. Scott is an incredible designer. Both of his 538's were stunning (acoustic guitar and vocals is where they really shined). The S was a bit bigger and a hair more 3D but the V had the forward presence and insane articulation, it killed on acoustic guitar.

These pics are ridiculous. So jealous of all who had the opportunity to attend.

That 583V came out of nowhere, eh? Nice surprise! VU in the 500 series is sweet!
