I would be happy to provide a Biz for this shootout.
I may even have a couple of Pants by then.

UPDATE!!!

Purple's sending me one.

No Shadow Hills. Peter Reardon's (sp?) actually been at some of my shootouts, so someone tell him to chime in.

Peter Montessi just dropped by a P1 and a Gold. So we have an A Design Blue, Red, Gold and P1.

Wade's getting me a Germanium.

Please get in touch with Vintage King or Mercenary to try to get an AL.SO MP2 in the lineup - I for one would appreciate feedback as to how this pre stands up against the competition.

Wish I could be there...

A bassdrum or snare would be really nice to add in the shootout. And it's quickly done. Just a suggestion

It might could happen. We'll do our best to get a unit out to James on the 10th of April. I'll let you know if it's going to happen. It might have an ugly prototype chassis and faceplate, but if we have a production circuitboard in time then it should be there.

James, have you spoken with Jon at Shinybox about getting his two new preamps involved? I expect the Si would be rather unique... possibly the cleanest-sounding module in your shootout. (Is anybody else trying for that?) It would be great to have that one in there.

Hey Justin.

We are .

James we hope to get you the prototype 'Mint Julep' for the show as well. Pan60 has offered to get it to a mutual friend and get it there for the shootout. The design is finalized but the metalwork is a little makeshift, but looking good... for a proto.

Hope Jon gets you his bits and pieces as well, be good to have a few more 'clean' pres in they 500 series! Plus is is a super cool guy to boot.

Cheers

Matt

...yeah the 87 as a mono room mic on a kick and snare would be quick and interesting - somebody could bust out a couple bars thru each pre and it would also be cool to run em thru the purple and buzz comps........see how you go. looking forward to hearing the results. props for going to the trouble.....there's only one way to decide what's hot and what's not - and that's by using the ol ears so thanks for doin this james!!!!!

True Nathan. Some people will learn the hard way. I am glad that you are bringing the OSA. They are the best buy in the 500 series. They will give you "that sound" without breaking the bank.

We are sending these to James from OSA directly, and I don't think that there are any MP1-A's available in time for the shootout.

Tube Tech... ? I would guess because this shoot-out is for 500 series modules only.

The good word on the Si is that it's really close to shipping. It's been in "waiting on parts" mode for too long, but I can say I'm completely stoked with how it turned out!

First production units should be shipping in 4 weeks, barring any delays.

I'm very reluctant to talk about things until they are available, as I'm not in the vapourware business =)
