Identify this board

Yep, took these shots out of classic reggae movie "Rockers".
This scene was shot in Harry J's studio, I believe with Jack Ruby producing...
Is that Sylvan Morris engineering?

Which desk is this? Looks like a Neve.
I love the 4 1176 embedded in the desk casing.
Also, is that an Orban parametric EQ to the lower right corner?
Anyone care to share stories from the days?
Irie!

it looks to be at least a split console with either 8 or flip 8/16 busses

the monitor section is small too so looks like 16 track days at least there

The movie was shot in 1978, released in '79 so very likely 16 tracks.

So much for "lightly used in non-smoking studio" in an eBay ad.

Helios!

IT's a Helios...
And I believe this particular one had 4 x 1176 comps, installed as an option.

It's a kind of custom build helios with 2 1176 build in. Recently it was found back in a storage somewhere in a ghetto in kingston. I found these pictures in a PWS tread about this console a while ago of the actual state of the console

The last thing i heared from it, was that the actual owner would repair it and put it back in service in a jamaican studio in Waterhouse, Kingston but it wasn't clear wich studio was ment. Some ppl on PWS (i can't find the tread back) were interested to buy it but the owner said it wasn't for sale.

And yes it was with 4 1176's, i was wrong ;-), there should be an eq build in it also, but i don't know wich one it is.

i just have my memories and the photo's i'm affraid. Maybe if you search better than i did, you may find it back.
