I have it saved on my Netflix dvd list. I would really love to see it on the big screen though.

I'm still waiting....

Unbelievable that Denny can't get funding for this. I mean, screenings for $15? I'll pay $100!

60 minute educational DVD's in dance, drama and music are marketed to the university where I teach for $250 each but this remarkable project can't get beyond screenings???

Standing in the Shadows of Motown is on my curriculum. This would be as well, if only it were available.

What a shame.

For Dallas area GSers, the Wrecking Crew movie will be screened at this weekend's Dallas Guitar Show.

I don't teach, and I got no curriculum but I desperately want to see some of the guys that stretched out an hand to help me in that were a part of "the crew". One in particular.

Come on Denny!!!!!!!!! I have some very fond memories that I'd love to re-live........

I want to see Goldstar again...
I want to see pics of Don Randi and Hal Blaine and Tommy T.........and Nancy.
I need to hear some studio/music magic happening...

This is bumming me out..... I had forgotten. For the third time. Are there any screenings that are coming up this summer. I'm willing to travel to get there.

I've been waiting for it to come to Australia. Or instead on DVD/Blu-Ray. Still waiting............

I've heard there are obstacles to overcome re: licensing before the DVD/Blu-Ray can be released. I just hope I haven't died of old age before it becomes available.

I'll second that from the Australian contingent. If there are ways we could get screenings happening in Australia, I'd be interested to know. Even if they were off DVD.

Denny, the newer website is looking fabulous, and the list of Film Festival Awards is pretty staggering considering. Here's hoping you're getting close to a Funding Target to make this happen.

Audience model

What is the basic plan after getting funding ?

Show it in theaters first to generate enough gross to pay for the bulk of production costs etc. then put it on DVD ?

Is the reality of piracy keeping the film from going straight to DVD ?

What about an indefinite "pre-sale" of the DVD in order to generate capital for the theatrical release ? Or would that cause too many tax issues ?
