Color coding a Track Name in PT 6.4

Anyone know how color code a track name? I've checked the proper button in the Setup>Preferences>Display Tab to: Tracks and Midi devices. What I want to do is color code individual tracks, but I'm not able to.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Dean

Yeah, that's what I thought, but I guess you can group the track whether it's a single or multiple, and that will give it a color.

Not possible. Obviously you need more than 2 tracks to group. Well, that's a real bummer.

What does everyone here do to make it easy to look for a track, especially when you're mixing over 50 tracks?

Thx

Control+click on the name in the Show/Hide list and it'll scroll into view or become the selected track... or use the Goto Track position feature which is new in 6.4

my pet peeve! I used to work in Digital Performer and got really accustomed to color coding things. Now with Pro Tools its just an ocean of grey tutt - I think it slows me down.

Sometimes I will make some extra tracks and make them inactive - they get a darker grey- and place them as "dividers". I helps me see where the drum tracks end and the backup vocals begin, for example.
