C12: Peluso vs Avant vs Red?

so, there are more and more of these types of mics on the market now...

"Brand X" making a copy of a C12.

i was wondering if anyone knew of major (or minor) differences that are worth knowing about these 3... or if i am missing any obvious others...

• Peluso P12 - $1499 - 9 Patterns

• Red Mic Type B + R6 Capsule - $1200? - 1 Pattern

• Avant CV-12 - $399 - 9 Patterns

If they are all close, then this is a no brainer...

thanks!

Not to hijack!

I was wondering between the Peluso 28 and the Avant 28.

It's really cool that there are so many options! Have to try them ALL I guess!

Second on the Peluso! Plus, you should be able to get it for less than $1500.

Yeah, they're $500. It seems like when they first came out they were $400 and they raised the price immediately.

The Avant is amazing! Worth many times its weight in gold! You will not be disappointed.

I have been convinced, on the fence, then convinced again about 10 times on this one.

I'm thinking that I'm just going to save up and get the peluso. It's about as "real deal" as I'm going to get right now. The last thing I want is another OK sounding, crazy siblant pretender. If I added up all of those "pretty good for the money" deals I have, I could own some great stuff.
