Fostex 1240

I was wondering if anyone has had experience with a Fostex 1240 mixer. I need an entry level mixer, but want one with decent specs, to feed my interface.
I cant find anything like specs or review or anything about thse. Anyone know anything about them? Worth 150$ ???

Thanks

a little Fostex 40 series info

I was able to find a manual from Fostex, although they don't seem to be able to find any listing of it by searching the site, the manual is still in their server.

I took this
http://www.fostexusa.com/support/pdf...ers_manual.pdf

and turned it into this:
http://www.fostexusa.com/support/pdf...ers_manual.pdf

and got the manual.

Its the user manual, not repair manual, and it covers all three of that model's mixers... 1240, 1840, and 2440

Hope this helps someone else.

couldn't hurt. If you find one, let me know. Love to know what you think of it, if you got it. I haven't even plugged mine in yet, but soon.

Power supply

I too am missing the power supply, i rung a shop (in the UK) that stocks Fostex, they were suprised to hear anyone as about it but they gave me a part number for the power supply (8270449007), they no longer stock the part but i have emailed fostex in Japan for more info, But any info i could get from you guys (where you got your power suply from, is the desk any good etc) would be great.

fostex spare parts

I recently restored/refurbished my Fostex R8 and got all required spares from MegaAudio GmbH in Germany (www.megaaudio.de).
They even provided complete exploded drawings as .pdf upfront to identify the required parts.
Just email their tech service (info@megauadio.de), maybe they have the power supply on stock (they did have everything on stock in my case).
If you need help with translation or otherwise (I also own a 2440 myself) just let me know.
