JLM Baby Animal combinations!

Hi guys,

Im very close to buying a JLM baby animal. I plan only to use it for vocals for the time being. I am only getting 2 channels. Id like to know what combination of transformers give what sound. My reason for asking is i want to have different sounds in each channel to make the preamp as versatile as possible.

oep jlm99v for a neveish sound on 2 of mine
jlm1::4 and 2520 for an api sound on the other 2

the thing is...could somebody explain what components do u have to change as well as the trafo and the opamp????

Not a lot has to change mainly a few resitors and you will need zener diodes with an API2520 opamp for example as it runs off +/- 16v

I can't remember exactly but there are tables on the JLM site to show what components you need to add/leave out depending on what opamps and transformers you use. The documentation is very good.
