Cool Best Studios and Private Studios in South Florida

Hi!

I may be going to Miami , so I want some info of the best Recording studios in Miami , commercial or private.

I have to do a recording ..and also if I like the city may like to try to see what is going on over there!

I am talking South Florida....so Miami, Ft Laudaredale, and any other location up north is welcome!

Thanks!!

Not sure why Spectrum gets overlooked all the time. One of the best sounding live rooms left in town (after Criteria-Hit Factory), and one of the best mic collections as well (including 2 vintage U47's and an M49--the baddest mammajamma around. The website needs some sprucing up, guess I need to tell Jim (the owner) to step up the marketing budget...

Spectrum Recording Studios

Spectrum in Ft Laud is a great all around studio. Zack, arent one of those U47's or the M249b been tweaked or restored by Klaus?, great mics and room. Besides the Amek theres a nice little Trident in the B room too. I've been there quite a few times even going back to the mid 80's and always was pleased with everyone there...especially the owner Jim...and a good friend Mike Grosso.

Hey Dean, yeah Klaus restored and modded one of the U47's. The M49 I think is all original, and it is the bees knees, none of the other mics fill up the speakers the way that thing does.

New River is gone, stuff got auctioned a few years back...hi end property thats for sure. That 8108 just never sounded right to me..Everything we ever did there had
tons of top end and very little bottom. All comming from an A800..I never did
discover why but a few others mentioned the same thing, there were a few great projects done there over the years.

where is the Crescent moon Studio?

I saw few weeks ago the building for sale....and heard the studio gear was gone??

Maybe they are in a much smaller location at the office building?

My understanding was that Crescent Moon was no longer open to the public for outside bookings. Maybe I heard wrong?

I suspect you heard wrong although the rooms can get tied up for very long periods.
