A band I recorded/produced is going to be on tv!

I'm still new to this site, even though I've been lurking for a while Any who, my best friends are in a band, After the Accident, and they entered the BODOG battle of the bands and have advanced to the TV show! It took them 4 rounds of wining and now they will be one of eleven bands competing. Check out the music on my myspace page and tell me what you think, it's the first song "The Silence Now" I sang harmonies and played the solo as well. Be kind, I'm still new, but I will definitely take any advice. Thanks for reading,

Brian

Time of a fun little story about TV. I was one of 30 people selected from the original mp3.com to be part of the season's sound track for the SciFi Channel's series First Wave. For weeks I was so excited. I thought they would be featuring my playing prominently under a scene, like Jan Hammer on Miami Vice. The day finally came. Turns out I was coming out of a portable radio nearly drowned out by traffic from a nearby highway as a character bounced a ball off the side of his Airstream for about 10 seconds before they faded to commercial! And to add insult to injury they left my name off the credits, crediting only the songwriter. And that song writer was even more let down, they didn't play one second of his vocal!

My band made it to one of the finals and then got drunk and had a terrible show haha. We showed up to the event, signed in, and then found the bar...

After seeing that it was a reality show I kinda was happy we didn't go any further.

thanks for the replies, it's still on fuse, and there were a few bands at the last show that obviously got drunk and didn't preform their best either! That sucks about the SciFi channel, I was curious if stuff like that took place in the tv industry, guess I should have known better. No comments about the music?

Hey brian. I used to record in the Cincinnati area up until 6 months or so ago. Got out for multiple reasons. Anyways, PM me and I can probably get you some more work. I still know a lot of artists there.
