Revox PR99 mk3 problem (right channel less highs) Hi, I just got a mint condition Revox pr99 mk3. I think this type is one of the last once ever made by Revox, and this one has had only been used for a few hours ever (it's been standing around for years). So, I tested it, recording some music on it, and listening back, a/b the original and the tape signal. The left channel is really good. But the right channel: looses highs. Now what can I do? The bias dial on the left and right channel seem to be exactly the same. I have not tried turning those yet (cause it's supposed to be set for sm911 tape that you can still get) Any info on this would be great. M.

You have to do a complete repro and record alignment. The "it's supposed to be set for..." just doesn't work.

Thanks! And this can't be done by a noob? What I mean is that the left channel is brilliant. It's only the right. And the bias knobs are there... Tweak myself, or let a pro take a look at it? The pro's I know around here ask a lot... m.
