| Has anybody used the DTS Drumtech tuner? www.drumtech.com It's supposed to be a product that tunes all the lugs on one side of the drum at the same time. I'm not very optimistic about it working considering other drum-tuning devices but it sure would be nice if it worked. |

| i have not used it, but it looks like it is just another gimmick... if it turns them all at the same time, it would need them all to be at exactly the same pressure to begin with (seems unlikely) it might work great for changing the pitch of an already tuned drum.... nothing beats good ole fashioned ear and hand tuning (though i admit its kinda tricky) gl |

| This would be not good for any drum.

| I use it and it is a great tool for studio work,i use on bottom heads only makes it easy to dial in the tone of the drum to the tuning of the top head,i will tune the lugs even at each lug by ear, then tune with the dts till it gets in tune with the top head ,you will hear it finding the sweet spot, yes it is a great tool for us studio drummers. |

| Why not? A pitch is a pitch. If you are using the same heads, there is no magic other than getting it to a desired tension. No different than tuning a guitar string. I haven't used one, but know a couple pro drummers and drum techs who use and like them and other devices like it. I wish I'd had one when I was a drum tech.

| It doesn't turn the lugs; it levers against the lugs. There are other devices that turn the lugs (other than a drum key :) )
