Limited Vocal Tracks to Work With: What do you do to make chorus vocals stand out?

Mixing a couple of tracks right now for a band...on the chorus we did not have time to do lots of vocal overdubs to get a bigger vocal sound. Any tips/tricks that can help the vocals stand out and sound grander during the chorus?

I've tried a couple of things myself w/ the tracks and had some success but am curious to see what you guys think. thanks thumbsup

if you have some usable alternate takes of the vocal, or of a harmony, you can definitely use them! if you have access to the waves doubler, use it in stereo mode - i like to pan it hard left and right and tune on side up a little, one side down a little. very common practice i would assume. can help fill out the chorus very well! (may not be appropriate for some styles of music of course)
