Waves MaxxVolume

Hi everybody

I read about that plug and since Waves give a February 20% discount I start thinking about purchase.

I need someting "all-in-one" for quick processing of voiceovers for radio and TV

Any thoughts and/or suggestion are more than welcomed

Cheers,

S

I'd look at a channel strip of some sort before looking at MaxxVolume - while MaxxVolume looks interesting, it kind of only does what it says on the tin, and VO isn't something that necessarily needs to be overtly loud.

With a channel strip you'll get the dynamics processing plus an EQ and maybe more (gate?) ... and you should still be able to work quickly.

On the cheap I like WaveArts, on the slighly pricier I like Duende...

I'd imagine if used carefully it would work quite nicely in broadcast applications. I use it on vocals occassionaly within music to help them sit better.
You might need an EQ as well.
