| Gear interested | Oktava Mk-012-01 I was just wondering what people thought of these. I was wondering if they were accurate according to their price.. I thought about getting some for my acoustic and for budget overheads.. Thanks Brandon |

| I like them. I even sometimes use them on vocals with a pop screen. |

| i like them too, used for OH´s. For the price they´re really nice mics. Try www.thomann.de , cheapest place for Oktava, even for stereo matched pairs |

| I like mine, too. Make sure you buy somewhere with a return policy though... they have a reputation for spotty quality control, and in fact I had to return one because the XLR jack was misshapen to the point that a cable wouldn't fit in it. |

| i had no problem with thomann.de, the mics were ok and matched ( with handmade frecuency diagrams to see that they were matched! ) |

| We just got hold of a pair for use as overheads and other duties - might give one a try as a vocal mic. For the price they are very very good. Has anyone noticed that with Oktava mics they don't accept neutrik xlr sockets very well - they don't click into place just kind of stay in because it's a tight fit? I noticed this with the 219s as well. Simon |

| I've never really found it a problem - just a bit odd. When you are in the middle of a session and setting up a lot of mics it can be like "why doesn't this fit properly??grudge" and then you remember - but they still work just fine. Si |

| Lives for gear | They seem to work fine with Switchcraft ends. A little tight but clicks right in. Have 4. Anybody using the different capsules?

| Only had ours a few weeks. Mostly standard cardioid duties for overheads etc. I did have a play with the omni capsules the other day as room mics, that seemed to work well - will have to have a play with them some more. Anyone find they use the hyper, omni capsules a lot? Simon |
