PING! Atticus: DAC-1 question

I seem to have misplaced the manual for my DAC-1 :-(

I've got the DAC-1's pot bypassed and am using an NHT Passive Volume Control.

I'd like to run a cable from my DAW into my living room (goin' through the wall here, so it's a relatively short cable run) so I can playback through my stereo system (which I was just told sounded lot's better than my studio monitoring rig! )

......anyway, that's all subjective, but I think it would be nice to hear playback through all the systems.

Can I do this, having bypassed the DAC's volume control, or can I just send the signal from the RCA outputs straight into my stereo pre?

thanks!

Mike,

Yes you can send the unbalanced signal directly into your home stereo reciever while using the balanced outputs in the studio. The DAC1 is capable of driving both of them at the same time. Thanks.

PS - Here is the link to download the manual to replace your lost one.

What's the latest on the ADC-1? I've been away for awhile.
