| Blue Bluebird on AC Guitar?? Yes, I did a search, and I read many of the threads that popped up about the Bluebird, but there wasn't much specifically about using the Bluebird on AC guitar, so I was hoping for some pointed feedback. Anyone using it on AC guitar with good results? How does it compare with an SDC like the Beyerdynamic MC930, etc.? Thanks a bunch! RA |

| I don't see why it wouldn't work. The Bluebird is Blue's "all purpose" mic, it should be okay on lots of things.

| I bought a Bluebird to use mostly as a vocal mic, but came away liking it on acoustic. Can't speak to the Beyer, but the Bluebird has a lovely edgyness and nice bass response that can really help an acoustic fill up a not-too-busy mix. Roll off the bottom a bit if you need to place it with more stuff going on...

| I used it on some acoustic scratch tracks the other night. Ran it through the API 3124. Sounded great! Btw, the guitar was a Martin and the mic was about a foot off the guitar, the 12th fret, aimed at the sound hole. I think we'll use that setup again for at least some of the overdubs. |

| I doubt it's as good as the beyer, but use what you got. And of course, keep saving up for the next purchase.
