motu digital timepiece/adat sync question...

hey guys and gals,
its looking like i'll be getting a few mixing projects coming from 24 channels worth of adats. i'm running digital performer w/ 2x motu 2408 mk 2's (not counting outboard converters). my problem is i only have access to 1 adat, which means i have to dump 8 tracks at a time in 3 passes. whats the best way to do this? will the motu digital timepiece be the tool for the job? if so, how will i connect/ setup? will i need any special connectors/cables, etc..?
fwiw, i have a cranesong hedd setup as my master clock and a lucid distribution box.
