What's your fave 500 series comp for vocals

Tired of lugging racks so I'm getting into 500 series stuff... Current project is using a Mojavi MA200 and a Shadow Hills mono GAMA, what compressor do y'all like? note: must work in a Lunch Box. so much for the Chandler germ ;(

Chandler germ works fine in lunchbox. I'm not the only one that will tell you that.

I think he was referring to the Germ compressor. There is only a Germ preamp for the 500 series, the comp is outboard/stand alone.

To the original poster, it's been the Buzz Audio Essence opto comp for me (which has been shipping since mid '07). FWIW, the Purple Action isn't shipping until Friday so I can't comment for a few weeks.

Buzz essence or api 525 are both superb for vox. Sometimes the buzz can be a little too coloured but not often.
