sturdy as all heck gooseneck (mic mount) - does one exist?

looking for a good quality gooseneck (19 inch is a good size) that won't flop over when you put a mic on it. i got a cheapo one from some music store...but it sucks. does atlas or K&M make a better one? i saw k&m sells one but not sure of its quality, etc.
gotta find a set to mount microphones in my iso guitar speaker box... ;-)
thanks in advance!

You are better off with a short boom...
