distressor and british mod

Im currently using my distressor to do vocals and its doing a great job at 6:1 ratio like 2 attack 4 release, im wondering is the british mod worth gettin to improve vocal sound?

The brit mod lends itself to doing nasty things (in a good way) to snares and kicks, etc. but not so much vocals.

Not that it couldn't work if you were going for that but not my first second third or fourth choice for a vocal compressor setting.
