Control Room push button talk / control room mic?

Hey all,

I don't know if there's already a product out there that fits what I'm trying to do...

I want to set up a gooseneck mic for communicating to people with headphones on in the live room. Is there a decent cheap gooseneck type mic that will do the job for me?

2nd. Is there some kind of mute box that by default is muted, but becomes unmuted while holding down a button? I'd like a box that I can hold down a big button and talk to people, take my hand off the button to mute myself in their headphones.

Sort of like the cough drop but in reverse.

Or if anybody knows of a switch like this I'm sure I could easily build one.

Thanks,
Mike

Check out the AT8666RSP; it has a 3 position mute switch that will do exactly what you want it to. Pair that up with one of our goosenecks and you're all set. Keep in mind that it does require phantom power.

Cool!

This thread should be a "sticky".
