Thread Starter | Convert ProTools Session to Cubase?
What is the best/easiest way to convert a ProTools session to Cubase? I have a client that wants to bring in a ProTools session for me to mix, but I work on Cubase only. Could I get ProTools LE (I think it's free right?) to help convert?

You can't import the PT "session" into Cubase, but you can ask your client to save the audio to .wav files. Then import the audio into CB and mix. PT LE is not the same thing as PT "free" - lots of folks get that mixed up. I believe PT free is demo version limited to 8 tracks among other things. |

1)Export the PT session to an OMF file 2)Export every track to a Broadcast Wave file (Not regular wav, you want timestamping so you can line up events) If you were in Nuendo I'd say also: 3)Export the session to AES3.1 format |
