Get in the line buddy!

It will all go for more $$ than its worth. Some of it is good and some bad. I think it will be snapped up by people who really dont know what they are bidding on or what they should be paying for it.

Im bidding on some things but im sure i'll be outbidded soon enough.

This is the second time this palce has been up for auction. The first time , someone walked in mid auction , slapped down a few hundred G's and bought the place outright. It will be interesting to see what exactly transpires this time stike

Won't happen this time... I started watching on the sidelines as I wanted a replacement for my dying H3000D/SE (So I could send it to repair and still have a working unit) and some of the purepath boxes, but as attractive as it all seems I can bet you that the prices are gonna skyrocket as Home-studio buyers get greedy (And this'll lead to funy situations such as the guy trying to hook that lovely 1176 to his Bear-ringer POS "mixer") and most of this stuff will reappear on ebay in a month or two.

Just wait and see

I'm really only interested in the stained rug. Don't look at it. It's mine. Some of those fat patch panels would give a Behringer a bit of cred.

Personally I want one of those Quested subs for my main pair now. The active VS2108's they have there have no tweeter's in them. Wonder what condition things are?

I just laughing at the fact the behringer DI is over what they sell new for. I wonder if it is modded 5 people have been bidding on it. Where some other items have hardly been touched bidding wise.

Will see what somethings are selling for closer to teh end might pickupo something else.

So anyone wanting a Sub its mine mine mine.

My Place is just around the corner, so I went down and had a look at what was on offer yesterday.
One thing i did notice was the the "Buyers premium" of 10% on the "Knockdown Prices"- So when you add good old GST thats 20% on top of the bidding figures, i'm not sure how many of the items are going to look like bargains when the hammer falls...?

But in saying that, i still have my eye on the Distressors and Amek CIBs!

Once a Gearslut always a Gearslut......

Cheers

May I remind you that nowadays you can get a new Distressor for the same price (from the US if you shop right) than what you'll pay pre-GST in that auction?

I wanted to get a 9098 compressor to complement my 9098 pres but I can pick a couple cheap in the UK.

yeah, the 2 bits I was watching (summit eq and psx100) went at almost silly money No bargins there.... I didn't even bother with the stained rug, I left that for you blackfoot.

Actually Zoesch, I didn't see the final score but I think the H3000 was still at a G, give or take a dollar or two.

Did anyone notice the frenzy of excitement over the 888's? I realise that they are not exactly flavour of the month but still..... I think the blanking panels had more interest

The H3000's were still going at silly money... you can get one in Europe for around EUR 400 in very good condition and serviced so there's no real bargain there.

Well got my Quested sub.
Now I just have to organise to get my Sub 70 kg to melb.
Do not think people read teh 10% plus 10% deal.

I mean Amek CIB are around $2700 new now(while they last) via the net, they went for around $3900 inc.

Zoesch,

Could you please direct me to the place where I can get a H3000 for around Euro400? That would be a great deal.

Greetings,
Dirk

Me thinks someone got the auction fever

Does anyone know what the AWA BIG-1 sold for in the end?
Would have put in a bid if I had heard about the auction earlier (and I lived in australia...!)

Did anyone see what the pair of brit modded distressors went for in the end, i missed the final bidding. What would you get a pair for in the US? - I'm guessing not less than AU$3500?

Cheers

Larking had one a while ago, there's been others popping up at SOS Classifieds from time to time... if you pay more than US$1400 for a D/SE you're getting completely ripped off.

If you search around you'll find them.

$1300 US in most places... specially considering that the Brit mod comes now by default.

They where at over 2200 a piece last time I looked.....And they have to pay 10% to the auction and then 10% gst on the total.

A lot of stuff went over retail. As I think a lot of guys forgot teh 10% plus 10%. The awa went for $880 you can do a google search I think and it will find it in cache.

Getting the sub shipped down to melb so saves a drive, the place packandsend is picking up other stuff for people as well.
