Tascam ATR 60 1/2" two track

I have an opportunity to pick up a Tascam ATR 60 1/2" 2 track that is brand new, old Tascam stock, for $2000.

Worth it?

I have an ATR 60 1/4" and it sounds good, but I wouldn't pay 2K for one, even if it was 1/2".

ATR 60 Work Horse

Great thread. I've had my Tascam ATR 60 (8 track) for almost 15 years and it has never given me any trouble. For being a tape machine, it's almost silent. I'm meticulous about keeping it clean though. I can't say enough about mine. Sadly, I have no need for it now as I have just purchased a TASCAM 2488MKII. Cheers.

I have two ATR 60s. I might part with one for way less money than that. But you have to come get it or cover crating/shipping.

I bought a 1/2" Atr for $400 4 years ago. It was in mint condition. It sounds as good as a MCI I bought for $500. I guess I got some good deals.

No, pay no more than $200. You can get an MCI JH110 1/2" 4-track (optional 2-track heads if wanted) for around $500.

Any questions?
