| The Boss GT Series is pretty solid in my experience, BUT if you're open to throwing down a little extra cash... T.C. Electronic Nova System/ T.C. Electronic's guitar processors have never been anything but stellar, so I expect this will be a great piece of gear. I'd look into getting this and an expression pedal for $700-750 and being very, very happy. Cory |

| If you have the dough, I'd be looking for an used TC GSystem. I had one and it's effects were top notch. With it's ability to patch in your analog stuff, it really can't be beat unless you go with an elaborate and expensive rack rig. The only reason I got rid of mine was because the band was over and I only needed it for gigging. It is a great piece and way ahead of the pack in terms of quality and features. Toss your wah pedal too because the wah on it is great. cheers. |

| Yeah my GNX3 died so I got the Utopia. The Digitech was kind of nasty but I liked it. The G100 has some sounds that make you go hoooo and then start drooling. I'm still in the honeymoon phase, and I'm just getting familiar with the patches. My only impression on the downside is that some of the patches start to sound the same. I haven't added any of my own yet. The foot buttons are different from the gnx3 in that the patch doesn't change as you click through them, until you hit the recall button. Kind of wierd at first but for live its really good. If the GNX3 sounded rugged and crude, the G100 is modern and slightly more sophisticated. So far I'm really liking how the guitar sounds in my mixes. For $200, it's a lot of tone |

| Gear nut | I personally liked Vox Tonelab LE. It sounded way better than POD X3 |
