PTHD guys: Question on importing/exporting sessions.

I'm thumbing through the manual and I don't see where it mentions specifically how to export an entire session: audio files, tracks, automation etc.
How do I export an entire session so I can just load up everything on another PT rig?

Probably a noob question, but bear with me.

thanks.

You basically take the entire session folder ..

You can consolidate the PT session folder down using File->Save Copy In...

My handy dandy tutorial talks about this .. here ..

ps: this works for LE, HD, MP .. etc.

The only thing about that is sometimes people have them on multiple drives (also if there are large 24/96k sessions.)

Save a Copy In will collect it from all the drives and consolidate it to one drive.

What he said! Also if you are using the Melodyne plug in, make sure that you have created a "melodyne" folder for your analysis files and include that with the session in case tweaks are needed on tuned tracks :-)

Thanks guys. I am using Melodyne so thanks for that tip. It seems like to me that if you saved the entire session folder and a Melodyne folder was part of that, it should save a Mel folder in the new location as well, but I'm a little new at this stuff.

thanks.

true..i avoid that at all costs..all my current work stays in my computer's drive and as soon as i finish i off load to externals

i don't even seperate a single projects files betwween partions in my internal drive

just the way i work..i remember the days of big projects and small drives and crap all over the place and at all costs i avoid it just because i am old and rather not have to think about those things

but i guess if i ever needed to i would use that function
