| Dynamic Range - AD/DA converters I have notice that the better AD/DA converters have higher dynamic ranges. Does that mean that dynamic range is a good judge of a converter? |

| Great thread thanks. I still wonder though as when I read up on all the converters I had been interested in, the higher the price and reputation, the higher the range. They seemed to go hand in hand. I am surprised to see that people say there is more to it. I wonder if in the lower ranged gear, it is more important and in the higher end gear, where things are already a cut above, the front end plays a larger part. I am thinking out loud and asking for an educated answer. (I don't have one) Thanks |
